General Terms and conditions
European Travel Shop acts as an intermediary to travel suppliers of rail, hotels & car rental. Your contract is with the supplier depending on which travel product/s or service/s you book. Your contract with the supplier will come into effect once you confirm the booking with your credit card. Terms and conditions are displayed on this site during the booking process and/or in your confirmation by each individual vendor or hotel. You will also be advised of any fees or conditions before you confirm your reservation/s. You will be deemed to have read the terms and conditions of each vendor, by ticking the one box, stating you have read the terms and conditions at the end of the booking process.
We display prices in the local currency for Hotels and Car Rental. Your local currency is as a guide for you only. Prices shown in your local currency are estimates, therefore may differ on a daily basis to reflect any movement in exchange rates. Exchange rates are determined by the vendor or European Travel Shop.
You will be charged for the Car Rental or Hotel Accommodation in the European Currency displayed on our site.
Rail travel products/tickets/ passes are only displayed and will only be charged in, your local currency.
All charges for Hotel and Car rental are in local currency of the country you are booking the service in or Euro.
Please note in most cases, you will pay for your hotel accommodation at the end of your stay at the hotel booked, your credit card details are held to guarantee for your booking only. Please read the terms and conditions of the hotel you have booked, each hotel has its own terms and conditions.
Booking conditions apply to all bookings (including those where we may act as agent) except where otherwise specified. Please note that a Rail booking and shipping fee is applicable on all rail bookings and is displayed in the shopping cart.
Cancellation and or amendment
Fees may apply as stated by vendors in the terms and conditions displayed on this site during the booking process and/or in your confirmation by each individual vendor or hotel. You will also be advised of any fees or conditions before you confirm your reservation/s.

Booking your trip
When you use our website to make a booking, you will need to provide credit details in order to cover the full cost of your trip. You authorise any authorised third party to take a guarantee /part or full payment for the total amount of your purchase.
Please note that you may be required to present a credit card at the time of check-in. rental or pick-up to provide confirmation of authorised card use or to secure any additional charges.
Promotional or discounted offers on this site are provided at our discretion. All offers are subject to availability and may be withdrawn at any time.
When you make a booking, you guarantee that you have the authority to accept, and do accept these conditions on your behalf and on behalf of all members of your party and, further, if you are making a booking for more than one person, that you are responsible for all payments due from each and every party member for whom you are making a booking. It is your responsibility to ensure that any information which is given to you by of our vendors is passed on to all members of your party. Any information which we give to you shall be deemed as given to each and every party member for whom you are making or have made a booking.
Events beyond our control
Except where otherwise expressly stated in these booking conditions we regret that we cannot accept liability or pay any compensation where the performance of our contractual obligations is prevented or affected by circumstances beyond our control.
Changes to terms and conditions
We may amend these terms and conditions at any time without
prior notice. If we do amend these terms and conditions, the
amended terms will be effective when posted on this website and you
are deemed to have accepted the relevant changes.

Insurance cover
We recommend that you take out suitable travel insurance to cover (as a minimum) the costs incurred if you cancel your trip, the cost of emergency medical assistance, including repatriation, in the event of an accident or illness whilst you are abroad and it is your responsibility to ensure the insurance you purchase is suitable and adequate for your particular needs. It is your responsibility to comply with the insurance company’s requirements and your duty to disclose to the insurance company all relevant information e.g. pre-existing illnesses.
Check the terms and conditions when renting a car to see what insurance cover you have. In most cases optional insurance cover is available from the hire car companies to cover excess premiums.
